I guess I must first explain my reasons for the creation of this site. My first child, Nikki, was a very special child in every way. God took her home on May 10, 2008, 16 days ago. She was diagnosed with psychomotor retardation when she was very young. She has been my angel from the day she was born, but now she has earned her wings and is doing God's work in heaven. I have been on several websites reading about the death of a child and grief. I was looking for answers on how to continue to keep putting one foot in front of the other. Time DOES go on, but my life without her doesn't . So, I had to find a way to LIVE. I read stories from all kinds of mothers who had lost children and they wrote their story for the same reason that I write mine...in hopes that someday it will help me heal, and possibly help others work through their grief, also, and know that they are not alone. Alot of mothers have wrote journals, blogs, etc. in some way ...tell their story. This will be a continuous process so check back from time to time and raed her story and keep the memory of Nikki alive.
